History
Southland Metals traces its roots back more than 35 years to when the company first started in 1974 as a casting sales and services company. After years of successfully engineering and manufacturing ductile iron, gray iron, bronze and aluminum castings, Southland Metals today, is better defined as an integral part of a cast metals consortium.
Southland Metals is based in Maumelle, Arkansas and the current product line includes ductile iron, gray iron, bronze and aluminum castings of many types, that span a multitude of industries. We also maintain regional offices in
Georgia, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
In 2008-2009 the outlook for all foundries and casting sales softened with the worldwide economy, but the company is once again confident of continued growth through 2011 and beyond. Under the direction of company President, Keith Crawford, and CEO, Ron Crawford, Southland Metals has weathered a challenging period in its long successful history.
With thousands of our castings currently in use around the world, Southland Metals is a substantial company by industry standards. Internally the company is focused on internal process improvements, supply chain product flow, and high-quality production engineering. Since 2008 there has been a significant emphasis on meeting the demands of new and emerging industries.
Through all the changes over the years, Southland Metals has adapted to industry trends and enjoys a tradition of excellence with its customers. It is viewed as a small private company with lots of heart and soul capable of delivering extremely good products.
